From Hype to Habit: Building an AI-Coached Business

Every executive I meet has the same complaint: 'We bought the tools, but nothing changed.' The tools were never the problem. The habits were.

Why tool adoption fails

AI adoption stalls because organizations treat it as a procurement decision rather than a behavior change. A license seat does not produce insight. People do — once they're coached to notice where AI fits into their actual work.

“You don't adopt AI. You practice it, daily, until it becomes invisible — like email.”

— JC Monachon

The four-part coaching loop

We run every team through a simple loop until it becomes muscle memory:

  • Notice — name the repetitive task eating your week.
  • Frame — write one clear prompt that captures the intent and constraints.
  • Review — treat the output as a draft, never a verdict.
  • Reflect — log what worked so the next prompt is sharper.

Coach's note

The loop is deliberately small. Big transformation programs fail because they're big. Daily loops succeed because they're repeatable.

Measuring what matters

Forget adoption dashboards that count logins. Track time reclaimed per week and the quality of the first draft. If a manager saves four hours and ships better briefs, the coaching is working — regardless of how many seats are 'active.'

An AI-coached business isn't one with more tools. It's one where every team has a coach, a loop, and the habit of asking, 'Where could AI help me think here?'
